Oppo Launches The World’s First Handset With A 5.5-Inch Quad HD Display

QHD and Full HD Find 7 handsets come with different hardware specifications.

Oppo finally took the wraps of the much-awaited Find 7. The company has been teasing us with clues and invites for months and finally the time has come for the reveal. The company has certainly gone over the limits to build the Find 7 and it shows.

The phone comes in two variants — the QHD version with pumped-up hardware and Full HD one with slightly lower spec'd hardware.

The display is a stunningly sharp QHD one with 2560x1440 pixel array squeezed into a 5.5 inches of space. You will definitely have to look through a magnifying glass to check out the pixels that reach the insane density of 538 ppi. One more thing about the display is that it can be used with gloves on.

To push all those pixels to the limits, Oppo Find 7 packs in a 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AC chipset. Also included is a 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal memory.

The Full HD version of the Find 7 comes with a bit of a downgrade as the display has pixel dimensions of 1920x1080. A Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AB chipset clocked at 2.3 GHz along with 2 GB of RAM will power the handset.

The camera again is something to talk about. Oppo have plugged in a 13 MP Sony IMX214 CMOS with an F/2.0 lens. With the help of a software, the camera's Super Zoom mode clicks up to 10 photos and merge them to form a high-resolution 50 megapixel image.

The QHD variant sports a 3000 mAh battery, while the Full HD one settles for a 2800 mAh pack. Innovation over here comes in the form of a new technology called VOOC, which supposedly charges the battery to 75% in just 30 minutes.

Going by the images, both the devices flaunts a stunning design. The QHD version comes with a carbon fibre back. On the other hand, the Full HD version flaunts a brushed aluminium back.

The Find 7 goes to show that you do not have to be a big company to pull off an innovative product. Both handsets will go on sale very soon and will be available through Oppo’s own website in China and other select markets. Expect QHD Find 7 to cost around Rs 36,000 while the Full HD Find 7 will set you back by about Rs 30,000.
