Would You Buy A Flipkart Phone?

India’s biggest online retailer plans to pull off an “Amazon” by launching its own mobile device.

Not many of us may be aware, but Flipkart does run its own product range going by the name, Digiflip. The range includes a number of camera bags, pen-drives, computer accessories, and a lot more. But, the latest reports point to the fact that Flipkart may be considering selling its very own cell phone.

With the faith that many have in the brand, don't be surprised if becomes a runaway success. What is today India’s largest online retailer, started off selling books, then moved to electronics, and then finally launched its online services such as Flyte and e-books store.

After being the exclusive retailer for the Moto G, Flipkart has learnt a lot. Just like many other budding cell phone makers (OnePlus and Jolla), Flipkart realised that one does not need big budgets and even brick and mortar stores to sell phones. It’s just right marketing mix and online presence (which Flipkart already has) is all that is needed for the success. Rumours state that the company has been in talks with Qualcomm, MediaTek, and Intel to make not just one but two smartphones. Currently, there's no information as to when can we expect the phone.
