Meet The GALAXY Star Trios: Samsung's Triple-SIM Phone

After LG's L1 II Tri, Samsung reveals its triple-SIM offering.

We covered the LG Optimus L1 II Tri with triple SIM support a couple of days back; and now it seems that Samsung doesn't want to be left out. Similar to the L1 II Tri, the Samsung Galaxy Star Trios was spotted on Samsung’s Brazilian website with a price tag of 400 Brazilian Real (approx Rs 10,360). Currently, the phone is only available for the Brazilian market.

It sports a fairly basic spec sheet with a 1 GHz single-core Qualcomm Snapdragon silicon, running on Android Jelly Bean version 4.1. With a 2 megapixel Primary Camera, and Triple SIM 3G bands, we doubt the measly 1300 mAh battery will survive a day of use. LG’s handset has has a lot more on offer with a similar price tag which we think will be a deal breaker for many.

The handset comes in black and white and we hope it reaches Indian shores soon.

Specifications:

  • 3.14-inch, 320 × 240 pixels capacitive display
  • 1.0 GHz Snapdragon MSM7225A processor
  • Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) OS
  • Triple SIM
  • 2 MP primary camera
  • FM Radio
  • 4 GB internal memory, expandable memory up to 32 GB with micro SD
  • 1300 mAh battery
