Samsung Might Unveil The GALAXY S5 This Month

The Korean-giant has started sending out press invites for the 'Unpacked 5' event.

The GALAXY S4 had its fair share of controversial launches last year (not forgetting the Indian one with Ranbir Singh). It’s been a long time and a number of rumours popping-up all over the Internet, point to just one thing — the launch of GALAXY S5 at MWC 2014.

This time around, Samsung has been sending invites for the 'Unpacked 5' event, but it seems nobody wants to spill the beans about what we should be expecting at this year's event. When The Verge approached a Samsung spokesperson regarding the same, the answer was pretty undecided “We can’t tell you what ‘5’ means."

The Koreans have been on track for all its product launches so far and everyone is expecting the GALAXY S5 to be launched at the MWC this February. So far there have been a lot of rumours about the flagship sporting a new design that will hopefully move on from the plastic-bodied devices to a more premium metal body. The display is also said to be getting pumped-up to a 560 dpi pixel arrangement if the speculations are correct. The new UI skin which recently leaked online showing a streamlined Google-play like card based home screen may also be in the books. All-in-all, quite a few changes would make it a success compared to last year’s S4 which was more of a minor upgrade to the S3.

Let’s hope Samsung has something up its sleeve for the ‘android faithful’ at the MWC and does not leave its fans disappointed.
