Samsung GALAXY S II Plus To Get Android 4.2.2 Firmware Upgrade

The latest firmware is speculated to bring certain features from the GALAXY S4.

 

Samsung GALAXY S II Plus (model: GTI9105P), which started selling in India starting from May this year, is now slated to receive the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean firmware upgrade. Although, the final changelog list is not official yet, an XDA Developers forum post states that the firmware will be available Over-The -Air (OTA) for users, starting with Germany.

Alleged Screenshots of the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean firmware upgrade on Samsung's GALAXY S II Plus along with other details indicate that the Baseband versions to be I9105PXXUBMG8, and the build date of this firmware is listed as 24th July, 2013. The new firmware which is 913 MB large, can also be downloaded manually. Even though the official feature list of the upgrade is not out, you can expect Samsung GALAXY S4 style lock screen, animated light effects, and the smart switch widget along with better battery life.
