Samsung's New GALAXY Tab 3 10.1 To Be Driven By Intel

Said to compete with the latest variant of the Apple iPad.

Samsung's next tablet computer is slated to feature an Intel processor, and there is every possibility that we may get to see the device at the tech major's 20th June media event. A report published in Reuters states that this new Samsung tablet would be a 10.1" device, which will compete with Apple's iPad.

Samsung's next GALAXY Tab 3 10.1 is expected to have an Intel Clover Trail+ processor, in minimum one of the tablet's multiple configurations. If this new device is released with an Intel processor, then it would mark a shift in strategies for Samsung, who generally has an affinity for ARM chips. Samsung last released the 7" GALAXY Tab 3.

Although the technical specifications of the next-gen GALAXY Tab 3 10.1 are not known, apart from the obvious 10.1" screen, we expect the device to run Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) out of the box. However considering that this will be Samsung's new flagship tablet, it can be a high-priced device. The move would also mean a shot in the arm for Intel, which is yet to find its footing in the mobile-devices segment.
