WickedLeak Unveils 7" Quad-Core Wammy Desire Tab 2 For Rs 10,000

The Android tablet features a 1.4 GHz quad-core CPU and 2 megapixel camera.

Indian brand WickedLeak has announced a new tablet, the Wammy Desire Tab 2. In the official press  release, the company claims to let the users decide whether their 7"Wammy Desire 2 will run on Android 4.0 or Android 4.2 (beta). Since the tablet runs a beta version of the Jelly Bean OS version, it is bound to have some bugs, so it's better to wait for a stable version, which the company will roll out by June this year. The press release further states that the Desire Tab 2 packs in Samsung's quad-core Exynos processor clocked 1.4 GHz. Multitasking shouldn't be a problem with 1 GB of RAM. The slate's 7" IPS screen has pixel dimensions of 1280x800. The tablet will be available with 8 GB of storage option, expandable by up to 32 GB via microSD card. It sports 2 megapixel rear snapper, and a front VGA camera for video calling. Other features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, and A-GPS. There's no in-build 3G support, but WickedLeak claims that it's compatible with external 3G dongles. Details specs are as follows:

  • 7" IPS screen with pixel dimensions of 1280x800.
  • 1.4 GHz quad-core Samsung Exynos 4412 chipset.
  • 1 GB DDR3 RAM.
  • 8 GB internal storage, MicroSD card slot with support for up to 32 GB.
  • 2 megapixel rear camera, VGA front-facing camera.
  • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth.
  • 3000 mAh battery.

While we haven't tested this tablet yet, on paper at least, it makes for a very strong case. Pre-booking for the Wammy Desire Tab 2 starts today, and its delivery will commence from 15th May.
