Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Officially Unveiled

GALAXY Tab 3 betters its predecessor in terms of screen resolution, CPU, operating system, and camera.

 

Samsung's GALAXY Tab 3 with a 7" display, running on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform is now official. The device was highly-speculated to incorporate an 8" display. While it was expected to come out in June 2013, but now Samsung states that the Tab 3 will be rolled out globally in May. The 3G variant though will come out in June only.

Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 improves upon its predecessor, the GALAXY Tab 2 in terms of screen resolution, operating system, camera, and the processor. The Tab 3 is more compact (7.4" (l) x 4.4" (w) x 0.4" (9.9mm) (d)) that the GALAXY Tab 2 (7.7" (l) x 4.8" (w) x 0.4" (10.5mm) (d))

Specifications:

  • 7" WSVGA TFT display with 1024x600 pixels (169 ppi).
  • Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system; Google Play support.
  • 1.2 GHz dual-core processor.
  • 3 MP rear camera, along with a 1.3 MP front snapper.
  • 1 GB RAM.
  • 8/16 GB internal storage.
  • microSD card support for up to 64 GB.
  • Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0 and Wi-Fi connectivity.
  • 4000 mAh Li-Ion battery.

The pricing details for either variants hasn't been announced yet, nor is the exact date of launch.
