Lenovo sure knows how to keep Fandroids happy just ahead of Diwali! They've launched as many as five Android smartphones for users in every segment, and in an array of screen sizes ranging from 3.5" to 5". The handsets launched today include the K860, S880, S560, P700i and A60+. These will be initially rolled out in the southern states and Gujarat, to be followed by a nationwide launch later.

First up is the high-end 3G-enabled Lenovo IdeaPhone K860, which debuted in the Chinese market before coming here. The "phablet" features a 5" IPS 4-point capacitive multi-touch screen with pixel dimensions of 720x1280 (294 ppi, 16 million colours). The Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) device is powered by a 1.4 GHz quad-core Exynos 4412 CPU with quad-core Mali-400MP GPU, and 1 GB of RAM. The K860 features a 2.0 mp front and 8 mp rear camera with autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, and 100-shoot burst mode. Internal memory is 8 GB, expandable by up to 32 GB via a microSD card. Available in black, it works with tri-band GSM (900, 1800, 1900 MHz) and WCDMA 2100 MHz. Other features include Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11, USB 2.0, A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, FM receiver, accelerometer, proximity sensor, compass, and a user-replaceable 2250 mAh battery that gives 31 hours of talk time and 3 days of standby time. The handset is priced at Rs 28,500.

Next up is the Android 4.0 dual-SIM Lenovo IdeaPhone S880. This 3G phablet has a 5" WVGA 5-point capacitive multi-touch screen with pixel dimensions of 480x800. The device is powered by a 1 GHz MTK 6575 CPU with a Power VR SGX531 GPU and 512 MB of RAM. It can connect to tri-band GSM (900, 1800, 1900 MHz) and dual-band WCDMA (900, 2100 MHz) signals. The IdeaPhone S880 comes with 4GB or internal storage that can be expanded by 32 GB with a microSD card. It features a 0.3 mp front and 5mp rear camera with auto focus. Other features include Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11, A-GPS, FM receiver, 3.5mm audio jack, G-sensor, proximity sensor, light sensor, e-compass, micro USB port, dual front-facing stereo speakers, FM transmitter, and a user-replaceable 2250 mAh battery that gives 17 hours of talk time and 13 days of standby time. The handset is available in White and in Black, and is priced at Rs 19,000.

Third in line is the Android 4.0 based dual-SIM Lenovo IdeaPhone S560. This handset sports a 4" IPS 4-point capacitive multitouch screen with 480x800 pixels (16 million colours). Powered by a 1 GHZ MTK 6577 dual-core processor and 512 MB of RAM, it comes with a 0.3 mp front camera and 5 mp rear snapper with autofocus and Geo-tagging. The IdeaPhone S560 has 4 GB of internal storage that can be expanded by 32 GB with a microSD card. Other features include Bluetooth 3.0, A-GPS, FM receiver, Wi-Fi, 3.5 mm audio jack, micro USB port, stereo speakers, G-sensor, proximity sensor, compass, and a user-replaceable 2000 mAh battery that gives 8 hours of talk time and 10.5 days of standby time. Available in Deep Blue, this phone is priced at Rs 14,500.

For entry level users, Lenovo has brought out the 3G dual-SIM Android 4.0 IdeaPhone P700i. It features a 4" IPS 4-point capacitive multitouch screen with 480x800 pixels (16 million colours). Powered by a 1 GHz quad-core Exynos 4412 dual-core processor with a quad-core Mali-400MP GPU and 512 MB of RAM, the handset comes with a 0.3 mp front camera, and a 5 mp rear snapper with autofocus and geo-tagging. The IdeaPhone P700i has 4 GB of internal storage that can be expanded by 32 GB with a microSD card. It can connect to tri-band GSM (900, 1800, 1900 MHz) and dual-band WCDMA (900, 2100 MHz). Other features include Bluetooth 3.0, A-GPS, FM receiver, Wi-Fi, 3.5 mm audio jack, micro USB port, accelerometer, proximity sensor, compass, and a user-replaceable 2500 mAh battery that gives 22 hours of talk time and 13 days of standby time. Available in White and Dark Blue, this phone is priced at Rs 12,500.

Wrapping up the set is the dual-SIM Lenovo IdeaPhone A60+. The Android 2.3.5 (Gingerbread) handset can connect to tri-band GSM (900, 1800, 1900 MHz) and dual-band WCDMA (900, 2100 MHz). It sports a 3.5" HVGA capacitive multitouch with 320x480 pixels (16 million colours). Powered by 1 GHZ MTK 6577 dual-core processor and 256 MB of RAM, the handset comes a 2 mp snapper with autofocus and panorama mode. Other features include microSD card slot (32 GB), 3.5 mm audio jack, micro USB port, Bluetooth 3.0, A-GPS, FM receiver, Wi-Fi, G-sensor, proximity sensor, light sensor, and a user-replaceable 1500 mAh battery that gives 8 hours (2G) or 3 hours (3G) of talk time, and 8 days of standby time. This phone is priced at Rs 6500.
