What's New With Bluetooth 5?

So, does this mean, most of your smartphones are outdated?

Bluetooth 4 on your latest smartphones, including the popular flagship devices is getting outdated anytime soon!

Yes. With the launch of Bluetooth version 5 happening on June 16 in London, the next big upgrade is all set to enter the upcoming smartphones, thus improving the connectivity range and speed.

According to a recent report by NDTV, Mark Powell, Executive Director of Bluetooth Special Interest Group claims that the new version of Bluetooth will be doubling the range and increase the speed of file transfer to as much as four times than what users are getting now!

Mark Powell seems to have also claimed that, the Bluetooth v5 will be supporting a number of devices which are available now.

Also, speaking about the new version of Bluetooth, it is very important to note that it would be aware of location via navigational features that are expected to make the user experience more easier.

Along with this, the new version of Bluetooth is said to provide better performance while it juices in a comparatively lower amount of power.

While Mark may be claiming about Bluetooth 5 being compatible with older hardware, we still have a feeling that, somehow without new dedicated hardware, you won't be able to experience it to the fullest.
