Brings optimised thermal controls that will let your smartphone run cooler.

For those of you who have not received the update notification yet, Cyanogen OS 12.1 is finally out for the Yu Yureka and its bigger sibling, the Yureka Plus. Company CEO, Rahul Sharma took to Twitter and put out an official blog post detailing the same. The much-awaited update apparently comes with a some new features and improvements with Android 5.1.1 on board.

While there are a number of enhancements on board, below are a few important ones that will enhance your smartphone experience.

  • Redesigned Launcher: App Drawer and Folders have been redesigned for one-handed use
  • Smarter Screen: LiveDisplay intelligently adjusts your screen based on environmental conditions
  • Calendar Together with Email: Enjoy the latest Boxer powered experience where you can seamlessly share your availability and schedule appointments
  • Fresh AudioFX: The user interface has been updated for consistency across all devices
  • More Playback support: Substantially increased support of codecs for video and audio playback

Everything else aside, the Cyanogen OS 12.1 (YOG4PAS3JM) update does focus on two other things. The post mentions that performance was a focus and while speed is not everything, the development team even addressed heat related issues by tweaking the thermal controls.
