19th Nov 2015Had you ever dreamed of booking a cab by just sending out a text message? or getting your mobile number recharged in an unconventional way, by just chatting? Well, if so, this app might be a perfect answer to blow your minds away.
We know what you might be guessing now, and the guesses are correct. It is a chat app which is also a personal assistant app which is powered by artificial intelligence.
Thus, you can easily book a cab or recharge your mobile number or even pay your utility bills by just interacting with Niki. Well, that's the name of the app.
Founded by a group of four engineering graduates, Niki's main aim is to eliminate the necessity of using many e-commerce apps, but instead do everything in a very informal way - chatting.
Niki has been developed in such a way that she can actually understand what you type by using a technology known as 'natural language processing'.
The app learns about your habits as days pass. But, how does it actually book a cab and which company cab would be booked, if you are thinking now, founders have integrated Niki with Ola and Uber Taxi services.
Also, Paytm's integration with Niki makes it possible for mobile recharge payments.
Interestingly, the app runs for free. So, how would the stake holders make money? Well, the app is said to charge the companies it has integrated with, a percentage of the transactions as its commission.
This definitely is a significant improvement in the tech scenario in India where advances are being experienced every moment.
