Micromax Launches 4G Smartphone Dubbed As The Canvas Knight 2

The smartphone with 4G support and premium specs is priced at Rs 16,299 in India.

Micromax has recently launched the second generation of its popular Canvas Knight smartphone with 4G support in India.

With a price tag of Rs 16,299, the smartphone comes with Nano-SIM card slots supporting 4G connectivity and powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor paired with 2 GB of RAM.

The smartphone comes equipped with a 5 inch HD AMOLED display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

The dual-SIM device runs of Android 5.0 Lollipop and features a 13 MP rear camera with Sony IMX214 CMOS sensor along with a 5 MP front facing camera with OmniVision OV5648 sensor.

The smartphone is also said to provide a better audio output by the Cirrus Logic Wolfson Stereo WM8998 mobile chipset integrated in the phone.

Backing the massiva specifications of the smartphone is a 2,230 mAh battery and Micromax claims to deliver up to 7 hours and 45 minutes of talk time.

While the smartphone comes with 4G LTE connectivity support, the home grown mobile company is looking forward to launch a series of 4G LTE enabled devices addressing the unique needs of the Indian consumer.

However, we feel the smartphone is priced a bit high as we can come across smartphones like Yu Yureka, Yuphoria, Redmi Note 4G, Honor 4X, etc which come with similar specs and at the same time, they are pocket friendly too.
