Yu Yureka Gets Cyanogen OS 12 Performance Update

The update is expected to fix various user-reported bugs introduced by Cyanogen OS 12 update recently.

 

Recently, the Micromax sub brand Yu has announced that its first venture Yureka smartphone would be receiving Cyanogen OS 12 update very soon.

The update which comes with build number YNG1TAS1KO is said to be based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and will be available over-the-air (OTA).

Speaking a little about the new update, we can expect it to improve battery performance of the Yureka smartphone and the company has termed it as a performance update and has also noted in a forum thread that it has been rolled out after receiving feedback from beta testers in the community.

This incremental update is expected to fix the various user-reported bugs that were introduced by Cyanogen OS 12 update recently including lag in apps, voice calling issues and over heating issue.

Though the users will be notified about the update, we also recommend to manually check for the update by going to Settings > About phone > Software Update on the Yu Yureka.

It is worth noting that the OTA update is about 130 MB in size. So, you need to make sure that you have sufficient battery power and also an uninterrupted internet connection.
