Saavn Adds Social Features To Its Mobile App

Users can now add comments and tag their friends in songs and playlists.

 

Saavn, India's popular music streaming service has recently update its mobile apps adding new social and sharing features.

With nearly 13 million monthly active users, Saavn has now with this update started allowing people to follow friends' profiles, playlists and activity.

It is being said that the users can now follow general playlists for updates, as well as artists and celebrity users.

It is learned that the mobile app will now ping a notification on our mobile phones as soon as the item we follow gets updated.

Even though these features are quite similar to those of what can be found on Spotify and Rdio, Saavn has one additional feature which makes it pretty unique for now.

People can now add in comments on the music streaming service making it more social in nature.

To add in more details, we can tell that, users can now tag their friends within songs, playlists and albums who can then reply with comments.

With these updates in line, we can pretty much predict that Saavn may soon project itself as a strong contender in the niche market, not to mention that there are more updates coming soon.
