No Price Hike For OnePlus One Smartphone

Inspite of heavy increase in customs duty on imported devices, OnePlus One's price in India will remain the same.

There seems to be good news and sigh of relief among all OnePlus fans as the company has announced that it's flagship smartphone OnePlus One will not be getting a price hike in India.

You may remember that recently, with the decline in the value of the Euro, the company had raised prices of the handset for the European market.

Likewise, the company had also hinted that it might revise the price of the OnePlus One smartphone in India.

However, stressing on the fact that OnePlus should lure in more customers in the country, it seems to have come to a decision that it will not raise the price as of now.

We can recall that the 16 GB Silk White OnePlus One has been priced currently in India at Rs 18,999 while the 64 GB Sandstone Black variant at Rs 21,999.

It is also worth noting here that, after missing its deadlines at the end of March, OnePlus has started to rollout the OxygenOS custom ROM based on Android 5.0 Lollipop for the OnePlus One smartphone.

The company recently even claimed that its customer support has improved, addressing concerns of many users who felt the company was lacking in this regard.

Currently, both the OnePlus One variants are on sale through Amazon using the invite system. Both models are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 4G support and large 5.5-inch screen. They feature a 13 megapixel rear camera and 3100 mAh LiPo battery.
