Facebook's New App Lets You Make Collaborative Videos

The app is expected to bring people more closer sans liking and commenting features.

 

The most popular social networking website Facebook has launched its new application which is calls as the 'Riff'.

Being claimed by the company that the application was developed by a few employees who stayed up late after their working hours, the Riff actually is a creative tool to make videos with friends.

The application is all about making videos collaboratively with more fun indulged, Facebook claims through a blogpost recently.

The social networking website believes that this application will be able to bring people more closer and at the same time enjoy together through their mutually made videos.

How Riff Works:

Anyone can start by creating a video. All you have to do is give it a topic, like #AprilFools, then your friends can view it and choose to add their own clips on that topic.

Once a friend adds a clip to your video, your friend’s friends will also be shown the video in Riff and will be able to add to it.

The potential pool of creative collaborators can grow exponentially from there, so a short video can become an inventive project between circles of friends that you can share to Facebook, or anywhere on the Internet, at any time.

However, we would like to inform you that there seems to be no multi-shot recording or editing features in Riff and also no liking or commenting facility seems to be found even though the company is famous for them.

Anyone on Riff can report any specific clip as offensive, while Facebook users can report a whole video as containing something awful.

The application is now available on both iOS and Android platforms worldwide.
