Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini To Receive Lollipop Update During Q2 2015

Samsung France has confirmed about the update in a recent tweet.

It is not shocking if we tell that the Android 5.0 Lollipop Update for the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini would be arriving sometime during the second quarter in 2015.

Not so surprisingly, Samsung's focus is on the yet-to-be-released Galaxy S6. Also, the company seems to be concentrating more on getting the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to its Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy S5, S4 and Galaxy Note 3.

According to a recent tweet by Samsung France, it is confirmed that the Galaxy S5 Mini would receive Android 5.0 Lollipop update sometime in Q2 2015.

Since France is just another market for Samsung, it's unclear where Lollipop for Galaxy S5 mini will land first. Since there's still at least one month until Q2, we are confident that more details on the update will emerge in the coming weeks.

To remind you, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini while was officially launched last year is still running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system.

However, Android 5.0 Lollipop may not be the only major software update Galaxy S5 mini qualifies for, but that may also depend on Samsung's availability to deliver upgrades for some of its older smartphones.
