Samsung Launches Entry Level Smartphone With A Palm Selfie Feature

Samsung Galaxy J1 is available on Amazon at Rs. 7,190.

With many features trying to capture our minds every second in this competitive mobile industry, Samsung has launched an entry level smartphone dubbed as Galaxy J1 which allows you to take selfies with a simple hand gesture. The phone can actually detect the movement of your hand and thereby gives more options and flexibility to capture your favourite moments.

Galaxy J1 is priced at Rs. 7,190 and comes with some bundled offers worth Rs. 2,000. The offers include Rs. 600 worth of free 2G/3G data on Reliance Communications and Aircel and also a free content package worth Rs. 1,400 to be availed on Starsports.com.

Weighing in at 122 grams and measuring 129 x 68.2 x 8.9 mm, the J1 comes with Android 4.4 KitKat on board, and is available in blue, black, and white.

The entry-level smartphone is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor. The device sports a 4.3-inch WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) display and unfortunately comes with 512MB RAM which would make the phone really lagging when it comes to multitasking. It also has a 4GB internal memory (expandable up to 128 GB via a microSD card). It is equipped with a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 2-megapixel front-facing camera and comes with dual SIM support along with 3G connectivity.

The J1 is surely an eye-catcher when it comes to the price and the new features it is equipped with. But, the 512MB RAM may disappoint the users who look for multitasking.
