Xiaomi Finally Announces Its Mi 4 In India For Rs 20000

The waiting game begins for those flash sales, as this one is bound to be a hot seller.

Xiaomi has announced its latest flagship smartphone for the Indian market today called the Xiaomi Mi 4. The handset was announced back in July 2014 and Xiaomi finally seems to have concluded on the right time and the right price to push out the smartphone to Indian customers.

The smartphone packs in flagship hardware (for 2014) and will indeed be a hot seller for the Rs 19,999 price tag that Xiaomi will demand from Indian customers.

While the Xiaomi Mi 3 sold like hot cakes, The Mi 4 clearly delivers a lot more value than the Mi 3. This is thanks to the newer (not the latest) hardware and the refreshed version of Xiaomi’s MIUI V6 (Android Kitkat as the base) that runs inside.

As for the specs of the Xiaomi Mi 4:

  • We get a large 5.0 inch full HD (1920 X 1080 pixel) OGS (One Glass Solution) display built by JDI
  • 2.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor coupled with 3 GB of LP-DDR3 RAM
  • Xiaomi will only launch the 16 GB version of the device but has plans for a 64 GB version later in the year
  • On the back is 13 MP primary snapper, while the front unit is a massive 8 MP one
  • Powering all of the above is large 3080 mAh battery unit
