XOLO Announces The Wood-Framed Q1020 For Rs 11500

While manufacturers have been working with wood and bamboo surfaces on the back, XOLO goes for the sides.

XOLO has unveiled a brand new smartphone with a wooden finish called the XOLO Q1020. The smartphone is a budget device and comes with a wood finished frame on the sides of the device instead of the back; an area that smartphone manufacturers including Motorola have been delivering for some time now.

The smartphone is no game changer when it comes to the specs. Clearly, its all about the design here that XOLO delivers at reasonable price tag. A new addition to the many smartphones that XOLO has launched in the past include the HotKnot file transfer technology. The feature in all probability works via NFC and will allow you to transfer data between devices (we guess between Q1020s only).

As for the specifications of the XOLO Q1020:

  • We get a 5 inch 1280 x 720 pixel, IPS HD LCD display with Corning Glass 3 protection
  • Inside we have a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek chipset at the heart supported by 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory
  • The external memory can be expanded all the way up to 32 GB via a micro SD card
  • In the camera department we get a 13 MP snapper on the back with an LED flash and 2 MP unit on the front
  • The smartphone comes with the usual radios that include WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 and is all powered by a 2100 mAh battery

The XOLO Q1020 comes in black and white and is priced at Rs 11,499 while there is no word on availability just yet.
