Intex Launches Its Mid-Range Aqua Amaze Smartphone At Rs 10,690

The highlight of he device is its true octa-core processor, a rarity at the price point

Intex has launched an all-new mid-range smartphone in India dubbed the Aqua Amaze, which is priced at Rs 10,690. The highlight of the device is its octa-core MediaTek processor, which is a rarity at the price point.

The device features a 5-inch 720p display, shielding the 1.4 GHz true octa-core MediaTek chip which is coupled to 1GB of RAM. Internal storage stands at just 8GB, but users will be able to expand that with the use of a microSD card.

In terms of imaging, the Aqua Amaze sports a 13MP primary camera, while the front-facing unit has a resolution of 5MP. The device runs on Google's Android 4.4.2 KitKat, which puts it at part with some of the latest devices, but it's unlikely that the company will roll out the Lollipop update once its out.

Connectivity options include support of dual SIM cards, 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. All that hardware is powered by a 2,000mAh battery, which going by rule of thumb should be good enough for the device to last for a full day on a single charge.
