Google Now Is Just A Swipe Away, For All Android Devices 4.1 And Up

Yes, you can now say “OK Google” no matter which Android 4.1 powered device you own.

Google has finally let loose it’s Google Now Launcher, which until now was restricted only to its Nexus range and GPe (Google Play edition) devices. The launcher now works with Android brings along its own set of tricks, which so far was not available for Android devices via their custom launchers.

One of those handy features is Google Now that is available with just a swipe to the right. Apart from this the Google Now Launcher also delivers more screen space thanks to its transparent notifications bar and a translucent navigation bar (if your phone works with on-screen keys that is). More importantly, it also plugs into your phone and you just have to say, “Ok Google” to prompt the smartphone for a Google search and more. This can be pretty handy in situations where you are unable to use your phone (think a crowded train) with which you can change music tracks, play a song and even send a text message.

Moreover, you can get that stock Android look which most Android owners love. If you haven’t side-loaded the app yet, we suggest you download it and give it a shot.
