Lumia Cyan Update Now Rolling Out To Nokia Devices In India

While some handsets have already begun receiving update notifications, the rest will have to wait.

Nokia has finally announced that the Lumia Cyan update for Nokia devices is now rolling out. The company now owned by Microsoft, put out a video (via the Nokia YouTube channel) informing users about the features that the new updates bring.  This is a global roll-out, so the updates will be reaching users in a number of waves. From the looks of it, it’s the Lumia 625 and Lumia 925 owners who will be the first to get the update notifications.

Yes, Lumia 625 and 925 will be the first handsets to get the green signal from Nokia as the software has completed the testing phase and is now marked as available. Nokia has even set up an update availability page for its customers to check when the update will be ready for their region and at which level the update is currently stuck up at. The update page is pretty much detailed and it’s a good sign of hope for Lumia users when it comes to the firmware updates.

As for the update itself, it adds a number of new features. There is the new Action Centre which is a pretty useful addition allowing users to check out all their device notifications in one place. Android users who have switched over to Windows Phone will be delighted to see the new customisable toggles bar in the Action Centre as well. The update also brings a new Camera Roll which will now show previews (for Lumia 930 and 1520 owners only) in the app while you scroll across images and also adds the Live Image functionality. These are just a few of the new features users would see with the Lumia Cyan Update.
