Microsoft To Roll Out Lumia 930 In Asia This Week

Asia, Middle East and Europe will receive the handset this week followed by the rest of the countries in the coming weeks.

Microsoft has announced in its official conversations blog that its flagship Lumia 930 smartphone will be rolling out to its important markets this week, which will cover Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

While there is still no word about a launch or an announcement from Microsoft India; it looks like the company will conduct a soft launch, because it has been months since the device was announced. Considering that Microsoft has been looking India as one of the potential markets for future, the country may figure in the first batch itself.

The handset is a flagship in the Windows Phone space and brings good hardware in the form of a Full HD display, a 20 mega pixel PureView camera and a Snapdragon 800 processor, even though its not the latest one. What is more important is the form factor, which is a drastic change from the phablet-sized Lumia 1520 launched last year in October. Basically the same power (minus the battery life) in a smaller hand-sized package that won't peep out of your trouser pocket.

The handset will be available in bright orange, bright green, black and white for a recommended retail price of Rs 35,900. Sounds pretty attractive for Windows Phone users looking for more power, but certainly does not stand a chance against the Android flagships in terms of specs and features.
