HTC One (M7) Sense 6.0 Update Now Rolling Out In The US

Unlike Samsung, HTC knows how to keep its customers happy.

Leigh Momii, Product Manager HTC, has tweeted that HTC One (M7)’s in the USA are finally getting their Sense 6.0 update. If you were wondering, the device has already received its Android KitKat software update a month ago, but that came with Sense 5. This time around, as promised HTC has begun rolling out the Sense 6.0 update packed with Android KitKat 4.4.2.

The update is indeed good news for the original HTC One owners. This is because they have been running an older version of the Sense skin that comes integrated onto every HTC device. The new update brings the refreshed Sense 6.0 UI, adds new customisable fonts, colour coded themes and an all new Extreme Power Saving mode. The update also brings improvements to the imaging experience via updates to the Gallery and Camera Apps. BlinkFeed is now a lot smoother as well.

The update is 688MB in size and will also make your year old phone a lot faster as well. It’s a pity that Samsung GALAXY S3 users are left in the dust. The device that had launched about the same time frame as the HTC One, and was often compared to the One in many benchmarks and device comparisons. According to Samsung, the S3 lacks the RAM in the international version which is why Samsung seems to be skipping it when it comes to KitKat updates. Now that the Sense 6.0 update is rolling out for HTC One (M7)’s in the US, expect the international model to get one pretty soon.

Just goes to show that HTC will actually spend time and even develop Sense 6.0 skin for a year old device. Samsung on the other hand, cannot provide a worthy software update for what was its best-selling GALAXY model.
