You Can Now Shop With Amazon Via Twitter

The world’s biggest online retailer has joined hands with one of the world’s biggest social networks to help you shop easier.

So you saw a product by Amazon on your Twitter timeline and simply loved it; but you have no time to buy it in the daily rush of things? Well, Twitter thanks to their partnership with Amazon will now allow you to shop easier without even having the need to leave your Twitter app.

The process is pretty simple and like all other things on the social network, works with a hashtag. You have to first enable the service on your amazon account to begin with, post that it’s a fairly simple process. You spot an item you like on your timeline, hit ‘Reply’ and use the #AmazonCart (US) or #AmazonBasket (UK) and walla! Your item gets added to your shopping cart! It basically helps you save items to your shopping cart which you can buy later.

The service is currently limited only to the United States and the UK for now and seems to have launched quickly after Twitter reported a heavy drop in profits in the first quarter. The social media network seems to be taking to online shopping lately as it seems to be the last resort thanks to Twitter’s own set limitations. Twitter has not been growing in number of users as expected this year where users are spending very little time online; which is against Twitter’s own revenue model. To find out how things are going for different brands around the globe, check out this simple chart that is making rounds on the internet.
