LG G2 Mini To Roll Out Globally In April; Will Bring The Fight To The Moto G

Sports impressive specs with a hopefully impressive price.

First came the Moto G: a mid-range smartphone with some really impressive specifications. Stocks emptied within hours of being launched and the phone has been a massive success. Eyeing the Moto G's success, LG too had announced the LG G2 Mini which was designed to be a mid-range device. Now we finally have confirmation that it will be hitting the market as soon as April.

There are a lot of similarity between the G2 Mini and the Moto G. Both are powered by Snapdragon 400 quad-core chipsets with 1 GB of RAM and armed to the teeth with Android’s latest and greatest KitKat version 4.4.2.

While the Moto G2 clearly outshines the LG in the screen department by sporting a much higher resolution 720 x 1280 screen, the LG’s 8 MP camera kind of makes up for that.

Where the LG G2 Mini clearly wins, is in the memory department; sporting a 4GB internal memory with expandable storage support via micro SD cards. Also the G2 has a larger 2440 mAh battery compared to the Moto G’s 2070 mAh offering.

It looks like it is definitely going to be a close call choosing between the Moto G and LG G2 Mini, as the phone rolls out globally next month. Until then the Moto G will remain to be the reigning king of the mid-range smartphone segment.
