HP Slate 7 VoiceTab Hits The Stores With A Rs 17,000 Price Tag

The tablet features a 7-inch IPS screen and 1.2 GHz quad-core processor.

Announced last month, HP’s VoiceTab 7 has finally hit the stores in India. The tablet supports voice calling and it comes with dual-SIM support. Inside is a 1.2 GHz quad-core Marvell PXA1088 processors coupled with 1 GB of DDR2 RAM. The display is IPS type with pixel dimensions of 1280x720. There’s a 5 megapixel camera for photography, while 2 MP front-facing snapper should be good for Skype calls.

The tablet comes loaded with Android Jelly Bean v 4.2.2. HP offers a bundle of pre-installed apps including Connected Music, HP e-Print, HP Connected Photo, and HP File Manager. HP Connected Music is similar to Nokia’s Mix Radio service, it lets you download free songs for 3 months.

HP Slate 7 VoiceTab is priced at Rs 17,000 and is available via multiple online and brick-and-mortar shops across India. At this price point, we expect Slate 7 to compete with Samsung's GALAXY Tab 3.
