Sony Xperia E1 Packs In A 100 Decibel Speaker

Will probably help you make enemies in public spaces.

Sony launched the budget Xperia E1, a phone designed for the youth keeping only one factor in mind — Music. From the loud speaker to the shake to control gesture, the phone comes in dashing white, purple, and black with signature Sony styling.

The phone comes in two variants — Xperia E and Xperia E Dual. It feature a 4.0-inch 480 x 800 (233 ppi) TFT display. At the heart is a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm MSM8210 dual-core paired with 512 MB of RAM which makes for a good combo with the available screen (not having too many pixels to push). The battery even at a smaller 1700 mAh capacity will also keep the phone light at a 120 gms. Internal memory is limited to 4 GB, while the expansion slot allows for memory expansion for up to 32 GB with SDXC SDHC supported. At the back is an average 3 MP camera unit which surprisingly comes with digital image stabilisation, sweep panorama and an HDR mode.

The phone’s main feature is definitely the loud speaker, which allows you to play your music at up to a 100 dB. Sony also offers Walkman music experience by including xLoud, ClearAudio+, and Clear Bass.

The single SIM variant of the E1 is priced at Rs 9,500, while the dual-SIM will cost you a little bit more at Rs 10,500. The E1 Dual will be the first one to go on sale starting from the 10th of March, followed by the single SIM variant.
