LG Planning To Go Big On Camera Tech With G Pro 2

The upcoming flagship will feature OIS and Ultra HD 4k video support.

Last year’s LG G Pro featured a stunning 5.5 inch IPS Plus screen, 13 MP shooter, and blazing-fast performance. This was the time around when OIS on a phone was something only the Nokia Lumia 920 has pulled off (and how!). OIS, then made its way into the LG G2 with great results followed by Google Nexus 5 which presented more of give and take situation.

MWC holds a lot of promises this year and LG plans to keep innovating and delivering to their faithful. LG recently let go of some withheld information through their Korean portal, and now it seems that they will be adding OIS and Ultra HD video to their upcoming G Pro 2 handset this year.

After Apple re-introduced slow-motion capture to the smartphone market with the 5s, the Koreans seemed to have followed the suit. LG will now also include a slow-motion video feature along with and updated burst-shot mode, thanks to the updated hardware. The front camera has also been stepped-up to a 2.1 MP unit.

Will LG be able pull it off in a market flooded with phablet options from Samsung and now Nokia? Only the MWC will tell.
