Nokia Lumia 525 Pegged At Rs 10,400 In India

The budget Windows Phone 8 features double the RAM compared to its predecessor.

Announced in November, the Nokia Lumia 525 has finally landed in India. The successor of a popular budget WP8 handset Lumia 520, packs in double the amount of RAM compared to its predecessor. With better specs, you can expect even high-end games such as Asphalt 8 and Modern Warfare 4 to work on the 525.

Apart from the RAM upgrade, the new phone is almost similar to the 520. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chipset with a 1 GHz dual-core CPU and Adreno 305 GPU. Other specs include a 5 megapixel auto-focus camera, 8 GB internal storage, and microSD card slot (up to 64 GB). Being a Lumia device, the phone comes with a set of exclusive apps including Photobeamer, HERE maps, Nokia Mix Radio (earlier known as Nokia Music), and Nokia Camera. However, if you were hoping to see a front-facing camera, you're in for a disappointment.

Similar to the Lumia 1520, the 525 runs Windows Phone 8 Black (Update 3) out of the box. The phone has been priced at Rs 10,400, and is available for purchase starting from today. Click here, for more technical details about the Lumia 525.
