Yahoo! Brings Chef Vikas Khanna On The Web

Internet is the new Kitchen TV.

These days, technology is seeping deeply into our everyday life. As televisions enter our smartphones (with live TV apps), internet has slowly started becoming the primary TV for the kitchen too. After recipes over video sharing websites, coupled with the popularity of cookery shows in the country, Yahoo! has tied up with celebrity chef Vikas Khanna to bring out "an exclusive cuisine series".

Dubbed as Vikas@Home, this web-based video series will go up on Yahoo Lifestyle in India. The series will run for 52 weeks, and the press release adds that these "gourmet Indian" recipes have been "specially crafted by Vikas Khanna".

For the beginners, there will be tips and techniques as well. Apart from videos, the series will also feature blogs, articles, behind-the-scenes clips, and kitchen tutorials along with an opportunity to chat with the popular chef via Yahoo Messenger.

Now Mr Khanna seems to be quite a hit with the ladies, and Yahoo! seems to be making full use of his popularity. The series will be available not just on web browsers, but also smartphones and tablets.
