Zync Launches Its Sub-5k Smartphone Cloud Z401

The Android Gingerbread phone is meant to deliver smartphone experience on shoestring budget.

Zync has added another handset to its Cloud series of smartphones. The new handset, called Z401, sports a 4-inch screen with pixel dimensions of 480x800. There's nothing great in terms of firepower either, as the phone packs in a feeble 1 GHz  processor. The software onboard is the dated Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). We would say that running Gingerbread was a sensible decision considering the phone has only 256 MB of RAM. The Cloud Z401's other features includes a 2 megapixel camera with LED flash, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 512 MB internal storage, microSD card slot, and 1300 mAh battery. The device comes with dual-SIM functionality, but it isn't 3G compatible.

According to Zync, the phone comes pre-loaded with Skype, Viber, Youtube, Yahoo messenger, Facebook, Whatsapp, and Twitter. While the phone's specs are quite disappointing, looking at other Android phones. However, you can't complain much since the phone is rightly-priced at Rs 4500.

  • 1 GHz processor.
  • 2 megapixel camera with LED flash.
