Intex Adds The Aqua i6 To Its Line Up

Android Jelly Bean based handset packs in a 5" FWVGA display.

 

Intex Technologies unveiled its latest smartphone — the Aqua i6. It is powered by the recently-introduced MediaTek second generation quad-core platform, the MT6582, making it the first smartphone to feature the chipset. The phone sports a 5" FWVGA display and runs Android Jelly Bean (4.2.2). It comes with dual cameras: an 8 MP rear camera and 2 MP at front-facing snapper. The phone has an internal storage of 4 GB and can be expanded up to 32 GB. The phone offers a host of connectivity options such as 3G, HSPA, Wi-Fi Hotspot, and Bluetooth 4.0. The 1900 mAh battery lasts for more than 6 hours and gives a standby time of 220 hours, as per the press release.

It also packs in apps such as ‘Matrabhasha’ enables smartphone usage in 22 regional languages including Hindi, Urdu, Tamil, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi, Gujarati, Sanskrit, Maithili, Marathi, Manipuri, Sindhi, Dogri, Nepali, and many more. The phone also offers 5 GB of free cloud space via Intex Cloud app.

The Aqua i6 comes in two colours: black and white, and is priced at Rs 8990.
