Communication Snag: iMessages Fall Through The Cracks On iOS7

Internet-based iPhone-to-iPhone messages take a beating after iOS7 update.

iPhone addicts who communicate with other iPhone users via the internet-based iMessage service have been in for a rude shock — the recent iOS7 update has messed up delivery of messages. Hapless users turned to forums and social media, as the only viable solution to deliver messages seems to be either restarting the handset or just disabling iMessage, resetting Network Settings (Settings | General Reset | Reset Network Settings), and then turning iMessage on again.

However, this seems to be a recurring bug that refuses to go away. Apple apparently is aware of the issue and has promised to fix the problem "in an upcoming software update", reports the Wall Street Journal. Apple further states: "In the meantime, we encourage any users having problems to reference our troubleshooting documents or contact AppleCare to help resolve their issue. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes impacted users".

The latest iteration of iOS which had been rolled out on 18th September has had issues right from the start, and has met with mixed response. Last week, Apple has released an iOS update to fix certain security problems. Well, all we can do for now is, just thank god for WhatsApp!
