Grand Theft Auto V Midnight Launch Event Slated For September 16 In India

Gamers can get their paws on PS3 and X360 copies for Rs 3,000 in seven locations across Bombay and Pune.

 

Let's face it, the Grand Theft Auto videogame franchise is something that everyone and their uncle plays and looks forward to every time Rockstar lines up a sequel. The upcoming Grand Theft Auto V is less than a week away, so it's no big surprise that the game is slated to receive the midnight launch treatment like any AAA title. The only difference is that come September 16, the horde of fans thronging for the launch is most likely to be considerably larger.

E-xpress Games, GTA V's Indian distributor, will be hosting midnight launch events across its brick-and-mortar outlet Games The Shop and Landmark stores in some locations. This includes seven stores spread between Bombay, Pune, and Thane. Needless to say, the event will be marked with goodies and rewards as always. The midnight launch will be hosted across the following Games The Shop outlets at, well, midnight—that is, from 11.59 p.m. onwards on September 16, 2013.
