Even while feature phones continue to dominate the Indian mobile market, finding decent games for humbler Java-based handsets is still easier said than done. There is, in fact, a market for such games in a country obsessed with value and populated with teeming millions of blue collar workforce armed with an equal number of feature phones. Realising this potential, UTV Indiagames has released a new game dubbed as Fighter Lukkha. This action sidescroller is set in a "chawl in Mumbai" with a "typical Mumbai gang war" theme. Or, in other words, quite similar to the script of an average Mahesh Manjrekar film.

Fighter Lukkha puts you in the shoes of the eponymous hero Lukkha, who teams up with is gang to take on a goon rather appropriately named as Todfod. Mawali themed character names aside, the game arms you with weapons ranging from knives for melee and pistols for ranged combat. This being Mumbai gang war, our merry band of lukkhas always have the option of using their bare hands to fight. While the press release promises a smartphone version soon, you will have to make do with your reliable feature phone until that happens. But look at the bright side, that way at least you can play the game for a lot longer.
