Zebronics Launches 7” Zepad T100 With Calling Functionality

Comes with not-so-flattering specs like 1 GHz processor, 512 MB RAM, and Android 4.0 (ICS).

Zebronics, known for its low-cost PC accessories, has added another member to Zepad series of tablets. Dubbed as the T100, this new entrant features a (2G) SIM-slot that adds full-phone functionality to this device. For 3G, you’ll have to make use of USB dongles. The tablet is powered by a 1 GHz Cortex A8 processor, coupled with Mali-400MP GPU. There’s 8 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded further using the microSD card slot. Its 7” screen has pixel dimensions of 800x480, which are on the lower side, given that most 7" screens have pixel dimensions of 1024x600 these days. Since the tablet has 512 MB of RAM, Zebronics has ditched Jelly Bean (Android 4.1) in favour of Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0), which is not such a bad move as some may feel.

The Zebronics 7” Zepad T100 is priced at Rs 7800 with 1 year warranty. The other tablets in this series from the same company include Zebpad 7c (Rs 5500) and Zebpad 9c (Rs 7500).
