Technical Specifications Of Next-Gen ASUS MeMo Pad Devices Surface

Expected to run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean; expected to launch officially at IFA 2013 in Berlin.

 

It seems that ASUS will release the next generation variants of its popular devices, the FonePad and MeMo Pad, at the IFA 2013 trade show in Berlin this year. These include ASUS FonePad HD 7, the MeMo Pad HD 8, and the MeMo Pad HD 10. According to a report published in Notebook Italia, these new devices will run on the relatively newer Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating platform.

Various technical specifications of these next-gen devices have also been revealed, which are as follows:

ASUS FonePad HD 7

  • 7" HD display with pixel dimensions of 1280 x 800 pixels, in a LED backlit IPS display panel
  • Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system
  • 1.6 GHz Intel Clover Trail dual-core processor
  • 5 MP primary camera, and a 1.2 MP secondary camera
  • 1 GB RAM
  • 16 GB, 32 GB internal storage
  • Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), and 3G connectivity


ASUS MeMo Pad HD 10:

  • 10" IPS display sporting pixel dimensions of 1280 x 800 pixels
  • Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system
  • 1.6 GHz quad-core processor
  • 2 MP primary camera, along with a 1.2MP front camera
  • 1GB RAM
  • 8 GB internal storage
  • Bluetooth 3.0, 3G, and Wi-Fi connectivity


ASUS MeMo Pad HD 8:

  • 8" display having pixel dimensions of 1280 x 800 pixels
  • Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating platform
  • 1.6 GHz quad-core processor


Additional technical details of the ASUS MeMo Pad HD 8 aren't available at the moment, but we will update them as and when they are revealed. However, what we do know is that all these devices are claimed to offer a battery backup time of roughly nine hours. According to the leaked information, the FonePad HD 7 will cost $316 (approx Rs 18,900), whereas the MeMo Pad HD 10 will seel at $324 (Rs 19,500 approx). However, the expected price of the Memo Pad HD 8 is unknown at this point in time.
