"AYBABTU" — Indian Govt on National Cyber Security Policy

What the Cyber Security Policy means for us.

The Indian government has released an official policy that outlines our nation's Cyber Security. (Wait we have cyber security!?) The policy aims at safeguarding information and build capabilities of India to prevent cyber-attacks.

Kapil Sibal, Union Minister for Communications and IT, has underlined that the policy is to be seen as about protecting of information, such as personal information, financial/banking information, sovereign data, etc. He said that information empowers, and in order to empower people with information, we need to secure the information/data. He also flagged the need to distinguish between data which can freely flow and data which needs to be protected.

On the occasion Sibal said, "Air defence system, power infrastructure, nuclear plants, telecommunications system will all have to be protected to ensure there is no disruption of the kind that will destabilise the economy...instability in cyber space means economic instability no nation can afford economic instability, therefore it is essential not just to have a policy but to operationalise it.

In short, Shri Kapil Sibal isn't just happy with taking away our natural 'right to view porn' on the internet, but has been seen giving the non-verbal confirmation which spells... “All your base (Already) are belong to us, you just don't know it yet! Muahaha
