Nokia Denies Lumia 950 Rumours

This piece of news will disappoint a lot of readers who were hoping to get their hands on a Nokia Lumia 950 in the near future.

 

For a while, it seemed as though a new flagship phone was on its way, the Nokia Lumia 950. According to a Windows Phone Central report, there was a new prototype, supposedly of the Lumia 950. The report further mentioned technical specifications of the rumoured Nokia Lumia 950. Even some images of Nokia's next Lumia had surfaced online.

Nokia Lumia 950 supposedly has an AMOLED display with 1280x768 pixel dimension, with PureMotion HD technology which is present in the Nokia Lumia 920. It was also rumoured to come with 2GB RAM, and an upgraded camera (resolution details absent) with Xenon flash and a larger sensor compared to earlier Lumia devices. The handset would reportedly run on the latest Windows Phone 8 operating system, and include a battery with improved battery life.

We had a quick chat with Nokia India regarding the Lumia 950 being in the works, and they brushed aside rumours about the smartphone, saying that no such devices was in the pipeline, at least for now. So dear Nokia fan boys, sorry to burst your bubble about the Lumia 950. Even if it does get released in the future, the wait might be a long one.
