LG Optimus L7 II Dual P715 And L3 II Dual E435 Available Online In India

Both the handsets offer dual-SIM functionality and Android Jelly Bean.

LG's two new Optimus series phones, L7 II Dual P715 and L3 II Dual E435 has started retailing in India. Out of the two, the L7 is mid-range handset that sports a 4.3" IPS screen with 480 x 800 pixels. The phone houses a 1 GHz dual-core MSM8225 Snapdragon chipset. For photography, it's equipped with a 8 megapixel snapper with auto-focus and an LED flash to keep it company. Other specs include a 4 GB internal storage, 768 MB of RAM, microSD card slot, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, dual-SIM functionality, and 2460 mAh battery. Coming to the subject of software, you get Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) out of the box. The handset is priced at Rs 14,900, which makes it a direct competitor of the Samsung GALAXY S Duos. Judging purely based on specs, LG's offering seems to be better.

The second of the lot, L3 II Dual E435 too features Jelly Bean. On the hardware front, it sports a 3.2" screen with a modest pixel dimensions of 320x480. It draws power from a 1 GHz single-core Qualcomm MSM7225A Snapdragon chipset. Moreover you get a 3.1 mp camera, 4 GB of internal storage, dual-SIM support, 1540 mAh battery, and Android 4.1.2. The L3 II Dual is LG's answer to Samsung's GALAXY Y Duos since they're both available at a price tag of Rs 7800. Once again, at least on paper, the L3 II seems like a better option than its GALAXY counterpart.

The Qualcomm SOCs used in both phones are a little outdated, and we were a bit disappointed that a top tier brand like LG has opted for those in their 2013 lineup of smartphones.
