Google Brings Out Phrasebook For Translate

Keep commonly-used translations stored for quick reference.

Google Translate has rolled out a new feature to let users create personalised "Phrasebooks" with frequently-used phrases / sentences. On its official blog, Google suggests that the feature can come in handy when you need to memorise the translation of a phrase. Guess it'll be perfect for those travelling abroad for the first time and would need quick access to commonly-used phases. To save data to the Phrasebook, users need to click the star icon placed under the translated data window.

The feature also provides a filter using which users can search for phrases/sentences by language pair, along with looking for specific phrases/translations. The Phrasebook also offers audio support. Users can listen to word pronounciations by hovering their pointers over the text and then click the text-to-speech icons.
