Rumour: Aluminium-Clad Nokia Lumia 928 In The Works

Handset is expected to be thinner and lighter than the Lumia 920.

Right from its day of release, the Nokia Lumia 920 has been AT&T exclusive in the US. Goes without saying, mobile users tied to other network operators couldn't get their hands on Nokia's flagship device. But now, it seems that Verizon customers will be soon greeted by the Lumia 928, which is expected to be a notch better than the brand's current flagship.

According to TheVerge, sources close to Nokia believe that the Lumia 928 will hit the US market next month. The handset will have a radically different design language as compared to the 920. For starters, Nokia might replace the polycarbonate unibody with an aluminium chassis. It will be also be thinner and lighter than the 920. The change won't be limited to aesthetics alone, as an AMOLED screen and Xenon flash are on the cards as well. Rest of the specs will remain unchanged, meaning you'll get a 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 SoC, 1 GB of RAM, and 8.7 megapixel PureView camera. At this point though, there's no information on whether this phone will see a global release.
