Rumour: Huawei Ascend P2 Mini Also At MWC 2013?

The smartphone reportedly looks similar to that of the bigger Huawei Ascend P2 and runs on the Android Jellybean platform.

 

A mini variant of the Huawei Ascend P2 is also reportedly going to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2013 (to be held in Barcelona later this month) along with the original Huawei Ascend P2 smartphone. The supposed Ascend mini variant is expected to come with a 4 inch display screen. Reports also state that the device will look similar to the original Ascend P2, although actual images are not yet available.

Certain technical specifications of the supposed Huawei Ascend P2 Mini have leaked out:

  • 4-inch display having 1280x720 pixels
  • Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system
  • Dual-core CPU
  • 8MP rear facing camera
  • 1GB RAM

The bigger Huawei Ascend P2 is slated to have a 5-inch display screen, run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform and incorporate a 13MP camera. A quad core CPU is expected to drive this smartphone.

Huawei seems to be on a launching spree, as it unveiled the Ascend Mate and the Ascend D2 at the recently concluded Consumer Electronics Show ( CES 2013). Both these devices run on the Android Jellybean platform.
