Sansui's New Low Cost Mobile Phones : S23, S30 At Rs 1,100 And Rs 1,200

These phones provide dual-sim support as well

Going by the sheer number of mobile phone launches, it appears as though every company that has anything to do with electronics is entering the mobile space. Sansui, a brand known better for home electronics, launched two new low cost mobile phones called Sansui S23 and Sansui S30. These phones were seen having a price tag of Rs 1,100 and Rs 1,200 respectively at a retail store in Bangalore.

Both these phones provide dual sim support and incorporate a 0.3MP camera. They also provide Bluetooth connectivity, incorporate FM radio ( with recording) and even have an LED Torch.

The display screen in the Sansui S23 has a 1.8 " display and comes with a 1,000 mAh battery while the Sansui S30 has a relatively larger 2.2 " display and a much bigger 1800 mAh battery. Both these phones support video playback and have a voice recording. The utility of video playback on screens this small is questionable, however,

Up to 500 contacts can be saved in the Sansui S23 whereas Sansui S30 provides for storage of 200 contacts. The mobile phones provide expandable memory up to 8GB.

While Sansui has launched these phones at what seem to very low prices, it has competition from better known players, including the FInnish giant, Nokia. The Nokia 100, which is priced just under Rs 1,200 or even the Spice Flo First Touch M-5465 touchscreen phone priced at Rs 1,650 are two examples of competition for these two Sansui models.
