Angry Birds Star Wars Gets 20 New Hoth Levels

Pink bird debuts in the game as Princess Leia; new bonus levels also added.

 

The latest spin-off of Angry Birds, set in George Lucas' classic Star Wars, has been updated with 20 new levels. Played on the ice planet Hoth, this new episode also marks the debut of the Pink Bird (Stella) as Princess Leia, with a new power.

In a blog post, Rovio explains, "It is a dark time for the Rebellion. Evading the dreaded Imperial Starfleet, a group of freedom fighters has established a new secret base on the remote ice world of Hoth. Unfortunately the evil Lord Vader discovers their hideout, and the desperate Rebel birds must escape the AT-ATs and Pigtroopers hot on their trail. But the Rebels have an ace up their sleeve with the debut of PRINCESS LEIA and her attractive new power!"

Apart from the setting, an interesting addition is that the Mighty Falcon will help you clear difficult levels with ease. You can watch out for new bonus levels featuring R2-D2 and C-3PO. Moreover, you can stake claim to 40 Dagobah Challenge Levels with Jedi Master Yoda; these are available as an-in app purchase. But if you want to save your pretty pennies, and you're really good with the game, you can earn the upgrade by scoring three stars on every level!

The game is available on multiple platforms, but the Hoth update is available only for Android and iOS devices as of now.
