Quad Core Tablet By ASUS Arriving On November 9
This new tablet will run on the Nvidia Tegra 3 quad core processor.

2011 has been a very fruitful year for gadget freaks. From the announcement of the world's first dual core smartphone, to the launch of the tablet version of Android, there have been some noticeable developments. Of course, the launch of the iPad 2 happened this March. However, as the year progressed, we got to see a bunch of identical products in the market. We're talking about dual core droids here. There are actually so many today that it's very hard for the customers to pick one before making the final purchase.

In May, Nvidia showed off the company's next release, the Kal El a.k.a the Tegra 3. This is the company's new quad core mobile processor for tablets and even smartphones. Now, we have some info on the availability of a Tegra 3 running tablet. The tablet known as the ASUS Transformer Prime is the successor to the Honeycomb running ASUS Eee Pad Transformer. Well, according to slides accessed from the ASUS investor's conference, the said tablet will break cover on November 9.

ASUS clearly has missed out on keeping a secret by giving away vital info about the highly anticipated device. That being said, it could be an error from the company displaying the Transformer Prime up for launch that early. Either way we can't wait for next Wednesday when the launch is supposed to take place. According to one particular slide, the Transformer Prime will feature ICS (Android 4.0), so that will be something to look forward to. The slides also revealed that there are a couple of Windows 8 tablets coming up during Q3 of next year. All in all, ASUS has a tight schedule packed right through next year. If the tablet breaks cover next week as expected, other tablet manufacturers could be looking at a major fall in sales. It does seem a bit too early for a quad core tablet to enter the market. We just hope that things go as planned for ASUS and the rest of the Android camp. ASUS has already set up a webpage for the Transformer Prime, so it should only be a matter of time.
