The Quiet Rise of Smart Projectors in India’s Post-Pandemic Tech Landscape
By bringing Formovie’s AI-powered, feature-rich UST projectors to India, Sushil Motwani, Founder of Aytexcel Pvt. Ltd is helping users to step into the future
In India, the demand for home projectors has grown steadily, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic. As people got used to this new setup, they began looking for smarter, cleaner, and better-performing devices. Sushil Motwani, Founder of Aytexcel Pvt. Ltd and the official distributor of Formovie projectors in India explains why Formovie projectors have gained traction in such a short time.
“Today’s consumers are highly tech-aware. They want convenience, innovation, smarter features, energy efficiency, and even devices that offer better eyesight protection. Formovie checks all these boxes,” he says.
According to Mr Motwani, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is playing a key role in shaping consumer tech, especially in UST projectors."AI is powering features like automated image correction, voice controls, and adaptive brightness. It enhances viewing experiences through real-time optimization and seamless device connectivity. At the same time, technologies like Advanced Laser Phosphor Display® (ALPD) help deliver sharp, vibrant images without straining the eyes,” adds Mr Motwani.
He points out that integration is at the core of product appeal. "For instance, the Formovie Theater Premium comes with built-in Dolby Vision and Atmos, along with twin Bowers & Wilkins speakers that deliver cinematic sound. This removes the need for additional soundbars or devices. Moreover, with built-in Google TV and apps like Netflix already available, users can stream content directly from the projector itself," says Mr Motwani.
UST projectors also offer an impressive throw distance. “For projectors like the Formovie Cinema Edge, you need only 49 cm between the projector and a 150-inch screen. With an ultra-short throw ratio of just 0.23:1, even the smallest room can become an entertainment zone,” he adds.
Mr Motwani concludes that as AI shapes viewing habits, future projectors will only become more immersive and feature-rich.
